Testimony of survivors regarding the extermination of European Jews. Geneva - 1944-1945

Die Judenausrottung in Polen: Augenzeugenberichte - Extermination of the Jews in Poland - Testimony by eyewitnesses. Three booklets: I. Extermination of the Jews in Poland II. Extermination camps. III. Warsaw - Extermination of the Jewish community until the Great Revolt. Geneva, published by the Comité pour l'assistance à la population juive frappée par la guerre - The Jewish Population Aid Committee, which was defeated in the war. 1944-1945. Stencil printing.

Three official pamphlets issued by the Geneva War Victims Assistance Committee, including dozens of testimonies by Stencil, of the first testimonies ever given about the extermination of Jews in the Holocaust and which printed. The publications before us are of great historical importance due to the fact that they were received immediately after the war from survivors who had just experienced the difficult events, and the atrocities took place before their eyes several weeks and months before the testimony was given. The testimonies that appear were obtained from all strata of the Jewish population: doctors, lawyers, tailors, factory workers, freelancers, writers and educated people, and more. There are also testimonies from Jews who hid during the war among the Christian population and saw their brothers' suffering from their hiding places. In the testimonies we find descriptions of the horrors of the Holocaust in great detail: the executions on the streets of Warsaw and later in the camps, forced labor, humiliation, robbery of property, starvation in the ghetto, and later in the camps, loss of loved ones, and sometimes those who have seen their loved ones executions in front of their eyes, The daily torments in the camps, the gossip and the cooperation of the Polish population with the German occupier, the stay in hiding places for months and even years, the attempts to escape from the ghetto, and later from the trains, the selection in the camps, horrific evidence of gas chambers, and more.

The evidence was collected in various places, and are dated. And to every testimony preceded the oath of survivor that he delivered that his testimony was true. The copies before us are extremely rare, not only due to the fact that they were printed in stencil and in a limited number, but also due to the fact that various occasions are known in which neo-Nazis stole copies from libraries across Europe, and wherever they were found, quickly destroyed them.

Booklet I: 87 pages, Booklet II: 108 [1] pages, Booklet III: 69 pages. Same size: 30 cm. general condition very good.
