An Antique 19th Century Chinese Porcelain Vase with a Provenance. The vase is covered with a crackle glaze and molded tree and floral design. Ca. Qing Dynasty, 19th. Century. Size h 8 3/4. Provenance: Collection of Edward Hyers Clayton (1886-1946). American writer and missioner. E.H. Clayton and his wife were missionaries of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society in charge of Wayland Academy, a missionary school in Hangzhou, China from 1912 to 1942. E.H. Clayton wrote a book Heaven Below based on his living experience in China.
