Manuscript of the book “Life from Jerusalem,” start of the 20th century.
Volume includes 60 handwritten pages in crowded Ashkenazi script of the book “Life from Jerusalem” (“The Book of Memory”), innovations on the Torah and holidays copied from a number of books by a young man, Ze’ev Bar Israel Isser, the compiler, who in his introduction writes “in the name of the Righteous Rabbi Moshe of Pshevorsk, who said that a man needs to write his thoughts so that he won’t forget them, so this book is called The Book of Memory.” It seems this is the autograph of the compiler. Size 18cm. Start of the 20th century. Old binding, the handwriting is in excellent condition.
