Brass Plaque for hanging, with the Israel Declaration of Independence, translated into English. Made by Grodel Inc. New York, NY. 1948. Designed by the artist Sol Nodel. The declaration is surrounded by an illustrated frame, depicting a soldier, an angel and the city of Tel Aviv. At the top of the plaque is the portrait of Herzl, alongside the Israeli flag, and the inscription in Hebrew: "If you will it, it is no dream". Including the original hanging chain.
Dimensions: approximately 34X26 cm. Very good condition, light scratches, wear.
