Archive of Sermons and Lecture Notes in the Hand of Rabbi Dr. Yitzchak Una
Archive of over 300 leaves of sermons on the weekly Torah portions, letters and lecture notes by Rabbi Yitzchak Una. A large number of the leaves are written in shorthand, possibly having served Rabbi Una as lecture notes, or they may be students' notes of Rabbi Una himself.
Rabbi Yitzchak Una (1878-1948) was rabbi of Mannheim, Germany, and chairman of the Orthodox Rabbinical Council in Germany. He studied in Berlin under Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer and under Rabbi David Tzvi Hoffmann. He is considered the foremost disciple of Rabbi Dr. Mordechai HaLevi Horowitz, rabbi of Frankfurt and author of the Mateh Levi responsa; he was rabbinically ordained by him. He ascended to the Land of Israel in 1935.
Over 300 leaves, most bound in notebooks, 10x18 cm.
Fine condition.
