A collection of important books of kabbalah, different editions with interesting ownership inscriptions, from, the library of the chassidic kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Moshe Karfman of Jerusalem. Most with his signature or stamp. 1. The book Maamar Shabbatot Hashem written by Rabbi Menachem Azariah of Pano (the Rema). With 52 yichudim from the author by the author, first edition – Lemberg 1863. Ownership signature at the end of the book “Tikkun Sofrim D’Kloiz D’Zikov here in Reisha.” 2. Sefer Hatemunah “attributed to Rabbi Nechunai Hakaneh and Rabbi Yishmael Cohen Gadol with a commentary by the great kabbalist written at the side.” – Lemberg, 1892. 3. The book Limmudei Atzilut that was discovered in the handwriting of Rabbi Chaim Vital who learned from the Ari – Munkacs, 1897. 4. Sefer Segulah, Magen David by Rabbi David Ben Shlomo Avi Zimra who is known as the Ridbaz. Commentary on the letters of the Hebrew alphabet according to the Kabbalah – Munkacs, 1912. The book Brit Menucha by Rabbi Avraham Mirimon Hasepharadi – Warsaw, 1883. Ownership stamp: “Hersoh Posnansky Plauen I.v” 6. The book Maarechet Ha’Elokut “by Rabbeinu Peretz one of the Baalei HaTosefot with a commentary by an unknown author…upon which is a commentary by Rabbi Yehuda Chayat named Minchat Yehuda” – Zolkiew [in Amsterdam letters], 1779. 7. The book Zera Kodesh by Rabbi Moshe son of Rabbi Menachem Graph – Piotrkow, 1910. On the title page is the signature and stamp of the publisher, Yom Tov Nettil Branspeigel of Lodz, and a stamp in Latin letters “CR.M Goldkranc.” 8. The book Likutei Torah Neviim and Ketuvim “together with the book Taamei Mitzvot on all of the 613 mitzvot by the great rabbi Rabbi Chaim Vital” according to a manuscript obtained from the library of Rabbi Natan Adler, the rabbi of the Chatam Sofer. Vilna, 1879. One of the two title pages is missing. 9. The book Mikdash Melech parts one and two, a commentary on the Zohar by Rabbi Shalom son of Moshe Bozaglo – Peshmishel, 1871. With important ownership stamps: Rabbi Nachman Baruch Hacohen Rubenstein, Av Beit Din of Rachov, Tel Aviv, Land of Israel” and an additional stamp: “Book merchant, all kinds of ancient and new books, Avraham Rubenstein, Meah She’arim Jerusalem.” Ownership signature in initials, possibly of the owner of the stamp. Handwritten inscription of a certain combination of a Holy Name, that “anyone who knows it and thinks about it, all of his prayers are accepted.” Several leaves are missing in the middle of the book. 10. The book Mikdash Melech, parts 3, 4 and 5. Commentary on the Zohar by Rabbi Shalom son of Moshe Bozaglo – Peshmishel, 1880. At the end are a few novaelle on the tractates of Baba Kama and Avodah Zara. On the last leaf is a long handwritten inscription about kabbalah. 11. The book Nishmat Shabbtai Halevi by Rabbi Shabbtai son of Rabbi Akiva Segal Horowitz of Prague, “discusses great and wonderous things about the hidden secrets, the secrets of the holy soul that were revealed according to questions of his sons, disciples, colleagues and teachers.” – Podgorze, 1898. Ownership inscriptions in Latin script. 12. The book Shefa Tal L’Bracha by Rabbi Shabbtai son of Rabbi Akiva Segal Horowitz of Prague, a work on the basic books of the kabbalah, including Sefer Hayetzira and teachings from the Zohar – Warsaw, 1870 (on the title page – Havina, 2010). Kabbalistic illustrations and diagrams. Ownership signature on the title page that was not examined. 13. The book Etz Chaim by Rabbi Chaim Vital, with commentaries, one of the basic books of kabbalah – Warsaw, 1890. Title page with red ink. Ownership stamp: Alter Barkai Jerusalem.” 14. Volume with important books. Maayan Hachochma “attributed to Moshe Rabbeinu” – Warsaw, 1885. Avodat Hakodesh by Rabbi Meir Bo Gabbai – Warsaw, 1894. Interesting ownership stamps and inscriptions in Latin script. 15. Yalkut HaRoim “Midrashim from the forefathers and the Tanaim” twelve works on basic Kabbalah – Warsaw, without a reference to the year. Varying conditions, different bindings, good overall condition.
