Central Asian coinage > Sasanian Kings > Hormizd II (Ohrmazd), AD 303-309: AR Drachm (25.5 x 25mm, 4.3g), style A/1, mint A ("Ctesiphon"); bust facing right, wearing eagle crown with korymbos + Pahlavi legend / fire altar with ribbon and bust facing, in flames, flanked by two attendants, the left wearing winged crown, the other wearing mural crown, each with korymbos + Pahlav legend. References: SNS type Ia(zu 1 od. 3)/2a (zu 1); Göbl I/1a; Alram 759; De Morgan p. 678, 67. Good VF/AEF, well centered & fully strong strike with clear legends (rare on this issue); medallic alignment at 45 degree rotation.
