J.C.A. was founded by Baron Hirsch in the end of the 19th century, acquired 6 million dunams of land in Argentina, in order to settle about three million Jews in farms. This project was disappointing and only about twenty thousand families settled there; many of whom left the farms and moved to cities. Yiddish.
