Letter sent from one of the communities in Eretz Yisrael [ the 1910's?].
The letter was sent to "New vial of old wine… Rabbi Re'ach Sadeh".
The contents of the letter is of significant interest to the history of the communities in Eretz Yisrael. Regarding financial matters and distribution of money, community matters, Shochatim, synagogues, education and more. The letter tells of letters recived in the past from "The great Rabbis of Jerusalem, headed by the King, the Rishon Litzion…". Also mentioned are the visit of Rabbi "Agan" [Avraham Gagin] and Rabbi Yehuda Nechmad in their community and more. The signees are probably the heads of the community.
It is possible that the receiver of the letter is the Eretz Yisrael emissary Rabbi Yosef Chaim Shreem (1850-1949), who left in 1899 on a mission on behalf of Hebron Kollels to Iraq, Persia and India. See more about him in the book "Ha-Shaliach Ha-Noded", A. Ben Ya'akov, Jerusalem, 1982.
Leaf ca. 30 cm. Good condition, folding marks and some stains.
