Sefer Mavo She’arim by Rabbi Chaim Vital. [Salonika], [1806]. Second edition. The book contains many glosses by Rabbi Ya’akov Tzemach, editor of the book. This edition includes additions which were not printed in the first edition (Koretz, 1783): “Drush Birkat HaLevana”, “Articles for Rosh HaShana”, “Articles for Sukkot”, “Hatavat Chalom” and more.
Ownership inscriptions, signatures and stamps: “Dedicated to G-D, for the elevation of the soul of the deceased Rabbi Nissim… Young Nissim Tuviana…” [Rabbi Nissim Tuviana, among scholars of Tunis, Av Beit Din in city of Susa] and one gloss in his handwriting; “This book was given to me as a gift to study from… by S. Eliyahu Tuviana son of Rabbi… Nissim Tuviana… Iyar 1906… Young Avraham Marciano” [Rabbi Avraham Marciano of Jerusalem- Debdou?]; “Last remaining relatives Mr. Sasson Chazan and Avraham Nachum…”.
