Twenty three photographs documenting the school named after Cardinal Ferrari. The school existed in the "Terra Sancta" compound in Jerusalem between the years 1926-1929. Amongst other photographs, children are seen during various activities, the school halls and photographs of the building, a portrait of Cardinal Ferrari, photo of the inauguration of the Madonna statue on the roof of the building (with the participation of the Italian Prince Umberto II, future King of Italy), and more.
Terra Sancta building was constructed for the San-Paulo Society of Milano during the 1920s, according to plans by the Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi. Until 1929 the above school was active there. When the society encounterd financial difficulties, the building was transferred to the Franciscan Order. Photographs 15X21 cm (average size), album 25X33.5 cm. Generally in good condition. Moisture-marks to some photographs.
