The paper "The Truth", edited by Shlomo Feingold, was published between the years 1910-1916, first in Jerusalem and later in Alexandria where Feingold moved during World War I.
The paper was published in English, Hebrew and French. Below the paper's title the following sentence was printed: "A weekly paper founded in Jerusalem 1910, temporarily published at Alexandria, Egypt". The publication of the paper was financed by Margaret Palmer, a wealthy British woman. Most articles in the paper were written by Feingold who signed under the pen name "Ketem Paz" and in English "Yaffez".
Shlomo Feingold (1865-1935), who converted to Christianity, was an entrepreneur, journalist and publisher, built several impressive buildings in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Tiberias and Afula and was the publisher of the paper "HaZvi" edited by Itamar Ben Avi; (the convert in S.Y. Agnon's book "Temol Shilshom" and the figure seen from a distance in the "Shell Lottery" photograph by Avraham Soskin).
