Aleph Bet, the paintings by Ze'ev Raban, the rhymes by Levin Kipnis, Bezalel-Jerusalem. Published by "Ha-Sefer", Berlin, 1923. Rare condition.


22 Colorful Lithography prints - impressive paintings by Ze'ev Raban, in burgundy colors and bold blue, with gold ornaments. Printed on thick paper. "The book was painted in  a clear Bezalel style and is certainly the most magnificent children's book ever published" [Ayala Gordon, Hebrew Illustrations, The Illustrated Hebrew Book for Children, Tel Aviv, 2005.] Critics of the period expressed their astonishment that the book was exaggeratedly decorated, Which in fact is suitable for the adult world.

[32] pages, 25 cm. Book in excellent condition, clean leaves, almost no stains at all, rare to find the book in such good condition.
