Israel: 1959-1960 Jewish holidays silver(?) calendar medal; not maker-marked; size: 35.75mm; weight: 17.05g. Obverse: shaded shape of Israel (per 1949 borders) within circle, emitting rays; Hebrew with English legend "For out of Zion shall go forth the law (Isaiah 2 v3)] | Jerusalem". Reverse: a globe device split into segments to highlight the business calendar dates of Jewish holidays, with vertical legend in center "1959 Holidays 1960". The token may have been commissioned by a Jerusalem-based Yeshiva - but the use of Gregorian dates (and not Hebrew dates) seems unusual for a Yeshiva. In VF: a nicely designed and solidly minted piece.
