Letter by Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv
Letter handwritten by the gaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, addressed to his son-in-law the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein, rabbi of Ramat Elchanan, shlit"a.
After Rabbi Elyashiv received his book Torat HaMoadot, Rabbi Elyashiv writes blessings and praise to his son-in-law who is "an overflowing treasure house ... built upon faithful foundations in Talmud and adjudicative literature." He then adds "I hope it will be received to the satisfaction of wise men and lovers of Torah" and he blesses him that he merit to discern the halachah from the correct understanding of the Gemara's deliberation ['לאסוקי שמעתתא אליבא דהלכתא'], and many blessings.
