Letter from the Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twerski of Rachmastrivke and his Son the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twerski

Handwritten and signed letter from the Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twerski of Rachmastrivke, dated 24 Elul 1968. Handwritten addition by the Admor's son, Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twerski.

Sent to the prominent rabbi, the exalted priestly chassid ... Rabbi Yehoshua Nachum HaKohen Rabinowitz. Inter alia, the Admor blesses him with a good year: 'that you be remembered for the good before Hash-m, with all your family, to be inscribed and sealed in the book of the righteous for a good, long life, with healing and salvation for all who are ill.' The Admor's son added six handwritten lines in the margins of the letter.

The Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twerski of Rachmastrivke [1900-1982]. Scion of Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl, son of Rabbi David Twerski, who was also his rabbi. At the beginning of the Communist Revolution, he was caught studying Torah and almost executed. He ascended to the Land of Israel in 1926, and after his father's passing in 1950, he was appointed to succeed him. After his passing in 1982, the above-mentioned son, Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twerski ztz"l, was appointed Admor of Rachmastrivke.
