Four books by the poet, playwright and author Peretz Markish (1895-1952). Poland, Lithuania and Russia, ca. 1920-1930. Yiddish.
1. Di Kupe [The pile]. Published by Kultur Lige, Warsaw, 1921. First edition. Cover designed by Henryk Berlewi.
32 pages. 34 cm. Good-fair condition. Vertical folding marks to all the leaves and to the cover (the booklet was folded into two). Creases. Light stains. Tears to front cover (also minor open tears to top left corner). The front cover is partially detached. Closed and open tears to back cover, some unprofessionally restored. The booklet with its original cover is bound in a new hardcover binding.
2. Radio. Published by Ambassador, Warsaw, 1922.

[46] pages, 28 cm. Lacking back cover. Good condition. Vertical folding mark to all leaves and cover (the booklet was folded into two). Creases. Light stains. Staple holes to inner margins and a small tear to edges of title page. Ink marks to two pages. Small open tear to bottom left corner of front cover. The booklet with its original cover is bound anew in a hardcover binding.
3. Brider. Published by Centralforlaget, Moscow-Kharkiv-Minsk, [ca. 1930]. Roman-Bibliotheca series.
363, [1] pages. Good condition. Paper strips pasted on the inner margins of several leaves. Defects, stains and small tears to cover. The front cover is partially detached. The booklet with its original cover is bound anew in a hardcover binding.
4. Shtiferish – Lider. Published by Central Yiddishe Shul-Organization, Vilna, [ca. 1930]. Second edition.
46, [2] pages. Good condition. Stains, primarily to front cover. Library stamps. The booklet with its original cover is bound anew in a hardcover binding. Fabric strips in the seam between the cover and the binding.
