Handwritten Hebrew Thesaurus. [Apparently, Iraq, first half of 20th century].
A thesaurus, written in pen on a notebook leaves, with three hundred and eight entries, in alphabetical order. Each entry contains a title with the main word and synonyms. With explanations and commentaries in Rashi script. By the entries appears an alphanumeric numbering, and on top of the pages appears the letter of the first letter on this page. Some handwritten additions appear on some pages (most of them in ink and some in pencil), and in a number of places appear deletions.
The notebook is written in a clean and orderly handwriting and it is possible that it was copied from a printed text or from another manuscript.
On the cover of the notebook appears a printed writing: "Iraq, Exercise Book" with a space for writing the name of the pupil.
[63] written pages, 20.5 cm. Good condition. Slight damage and stains (mainly to margins and to first and last leaves). Trimmed margins, affecting text on one of the pages. Tear to last written page. Worn and damaged cover.
