Paintings: Yitzhak Pogac 22.5 x 30 cm Yehoshua Tan-Pi ( July 2, 1914 , 1914 , Chisinau , Bessarabia 1988 - 1988 ) was a Hebrew poet , journalist , lyricist , editor and writer of children .ehoshua Tan-Pi was born as Shy Bodeštsky (Chisinau) in Chisinau , to Shaul-Yechezkel and Mania (nee Brill) Bozdatski, a religious family. He studied at the Hebrew- religious Gymnasium "Magen David", founded by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Tsirelson . He immigrated to Palestine in 1934 and joined Kibbutz Hashomer Hatzair in Magdiel . Worked early in his steps in the Land of Israel as an orchard , farmer and construction worker continued to work around Magdiel. During this period he wrote his first book of poems, which was published in 1937 . He then moved to Tel Aviv and regularly participated in the literary supplement of Davar . From 1937 to 1938 he was in Paris to complete his studies, where he fell in love with the French language , and later became famous as the author of the famous dictionary, the Tenpil dictionary. He immigrated to Israel as a poet since his early age. He later changed the name to "phon" - anagram , the same name in reverse syllables. He worked as a teacher in the Kfar Vitkin school and later in Kfar Yehoshua . In 1942 he joined the editorial board of Haaretz in Tel Aviv and three years later left it. He then founded the small publishing house "The Library of Hours," in which he published mainly children's books , sources and translations . He returned to Haaretz in 1948 and was transferred to Jerusalem in 1951. He was a member of the literary council of the Writers' Union and a deputy chairman Head of the Journalists Association in Jerusalem. Yehoshua Tan-Pi was a unique poet who did not join any literary group . Was deeply influenced by contemporary French poetry . Among the topics he wrote in his youth - the uniqueness of the young poet and his breakthrough into the world. "Ashira to Joshua Tan-Pi" is a well-known poem in which he formulated his dedication to the world of piyyut. Apart from his poems, he translated many maps, including Yiddish , Romanian , German , French and English . In 1958 his daughter Noa died at the age of 12 (after her name "Beit Noa" in the Valley of the Cross in Jerusalem ). Then came another terrible break when Saul Tennepi fell in the War of Attrition on the Suez Canal . His poems became deeper and more interesting, touching and completely different from anything he had written until then. He dedicated his last years to the memory of his children. Between generations of maskilim and students he is known as a result of the Tenpian dictionary for French. Yitzhak Pogac ( September 13 , 1919 - April 9, 2017 ) was an Israeli painter . He taught for many years at Bezalel , where he served as head of the Department of Painting. Pujac was born in the city of Kovel in Volhynia , then in Russia , then in Poland , Ukraine today in 1919 . Immigrated illegally to Palestine in 1939 and settled in Jerusalem . He enlisted in the Jewish Brigade and fought in France and Italy . At the end of the war, he enrolled in art studies in Britain . When he returned to Israel he fought in the War of Independence . At the end of the war he began teaching at Bezalel , where he taught all his life and advanced to the position of head of the painting department. He was awarded the Ministry of Education Prize, the Jerusalem Prize for Painting and the Bezalel Prize. He was married to Ruth until her death in 2002 and had two daughters. He lived in Jerusalem.
