Pair of Shabbat Candlesticks, Shaped like Pitchers. 18th Century [?]
Pair of pitcher-shaped oil candlesticks for Shabbat. Casted brass and engraved.
The base of the candlesticks bears the engraved [Hebrew] words: Shabbat Kodesh. The candlesticks themselves are shaped like pitchers, with spouts at their edges for the oil. The covers have bird designs and the handle is shaped like an animal - a bird combined with frog.
Identical height: 10 cm. Width: 12 cm.
