Official Booklet from the First Days of Ha'Edah Ha'Charedit with Signatures of Dozens of Its Voters – Including Signatures of the Founders of Ha'Edah Headed by Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Diskin – 1920
An official booklet from the first days of Ha'Edah Ha'Charedit of Jerusalem. The booklet contains dozens of signatures of residents and rabbis of Jerusalem who certify that "we have given our votes to the Ashkenazic City Committee" [The initial name of Ha'Edah Ha'Charedit].
On the upper part of each leaf appear the regulations of the committee: "The Ashkenazic Committee is religious, conducts itself according to the Jewish written and oral law … only men have the right to vote … the committee is the supreme representative of the Ashkenazic community …" Then appear the signatures of the voters on the right and their origin on the left.

Among the signatories: Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Diskin, Reb Shmuel Enda (Rabbi Diskin's secretary), Rabbi Pinchas Epstein (the future Rosh Av Beit Din of Ha'Edah Ha'Charedit), Reb Moshe Porush-Glickman, one of the founders of Ha'Edah Ha'Charedit and leaders of Agudat Yisrael, and more and more.
All in all, there were only single such booklets which contained the signatures of all those who joined the "Edah Ha'Charedit" in its first days!

Condition: Fair-Good. One leaf is detached. Stamp on the cover: "Va'ad Ha'Ir Le'Kehilat Ha'Ashkenazim" (Ashkenazic City Committee).
