Very rare set of hand hammered Silver Kiddush Cup and a matching plate by the famous Israeli artisan David Gumbel. Jerusalem, 1950's. A similar cup is featured in the catalogue (p.126/127): "Forging Ahead, Wolpert and Gumbel, Israeli Silversmiths for the Modern Age", that was published in accordance with a seminal exhibition that took place at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Stamped on the underside: "Gumbel, Jerusalem, Sterling". Total Weight: 210.5 gr. Cup: H: 9.5 cm Base diameter: 4.5 cm, Top diameter: 7 cm; Plate: H: 1 cm, Top diameter: 12 cm.
