Rabbi Refael David Saban: 5637-5721, was appointed "Chacham Bashi" - the head of the Rabbis in the Kingdom of Turkey. Served in various rabbinic positions from the age of twenty. Was the last rabbi of Turkey, an outstanding genius in halakhah, in aggadah and grammer. He wrote a book of Midrash for the Perushim, and his commentary on Rashi's commentary on the manuscript was published in his handwriting, and he had a large library and many books decorated with his glosses, as well Chidushim and Hagahot on the book of Zecher Asot to Rabbi Yaakov Argoiti.
