Korean War Belgian Battalion cloth formation arm patch: this is the Belgian (not Korean) made issue from 1951-55; design based on 2nd insignia of wartime 1st Independent Belgian Brigade (1944-45), thick & well-manufactured; some of light-blue felt missing. Force was known as Belgian United Nations Command (BUNC) & also as "Belgian Volunteer Corps for Korea": unit was mixed Belgian-Luxembourgish military force sent to Korean peninsula bet. 1951-55, numbering 3,171 Belgians & 78 Luxembourgers; 103 KIA; awarded 2x S. Korean Presidential Unit Citations & 1 American.
