Egyptian / United Arab Republic (UAR) Army large metal hat/beret badge, c. 1958-61; 28 x 41mm: two-piece badge of eagle & enamel colored shield; vert. 2-pronged back. Die-stamped; not maker-marked. The UAR was a union of Syria & Egypt bet. 1958-61, although Egypt used this symbol until 1971. As good quality manufacture, est. date is early.
