Shiviti Board for a Cantor. Signed Painting. Eastern Europe? 1925
Shiviti painting for a synagogue cantor. The date 1925 appears on the lower left with the artist's initials: R. L. [Eastern Europe?].
The [Hebrew] phrase "Know before Whom you stand" is at the top of the board; the word "Shiviti" appears at center. The Temple menorah is depicted at the bottom, with Kabbalistic Names to the right and left. [Hebrew] dedication at the bottom of the leaf: "In memory of Moshe Menachem b"r Tzvi z"l - 19 Shevat."

Fine condition. Aging stains. Slight scratches in the paint in several places. Isolated worming perforations in the white margins.
