״המגיד״ מראשוני כתבי העת הכתובים עברית, שיצא לאור בגרמניה ובפולין עוד משנת 1856. הוא עסק בחדשות כלליות ויהודיות מרחבי העולם, ותמך בישוב ארץ ישראל ובתנועת חיבת ציון.
הגליונות במצב כללי טוב. בחלקם דפים חסרים. בשוליים הדבקות וחיזוקים ומעט חורי עש לא פעילים.
