Historic. Advertising Booklet by Keren HaTorah, with a Proclamation by the Chafetz Chaim, a Daf Yomi Study Schedule and a "Class Picture" of the Slobodka Yeshivah. 1925

Advertising booklet by the Keren HaTorah Society, which was founded by the leaders of European Chareidi Jewry. Vienna, 1925.

Regarding the establishment of the Keren HaTorah enterprise decided upon at Agudat Yisrael's first Knessiah Gedolah, which took place in Elul of 1923. This advertising booklet was released over a year after the establishment of this enterprise.

Chronicles of the major yeshivahs are printed at the beginning of the booklet, such as Volozhin, Mir, Slonim, Telz, Slobodka, Lomza, Novorhodok and others.

The historic proclamation of the fund is on pp. 6-24 with signatures of the Chafetz Chaim, the Admo"r Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov, the Imrei Emet of Gur, and many others.

An article written by the Chafetz Chaim appears on pp. 27-29.

Page 47 bears pictures of the "banknotes" designed by Uriel Birnbaum and issued by the fund.

Printed on the following leaf, perhaps for the first time, is the Daf Yomi study schedule - the program led by Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin.

There is an additional chromo-like leaf bound at the end of the booklet, with the 1922 "class picture" of the disciples at the Slobodka yeshivah, with pictures of the rashei hayeshivah, including the Alter of Slobodka, Rabbi Nathan Tzvi Finkel. The second side bears a picture of the establishment of the renowned Chachmei Lublin yeshivah including pictures of the Admo"r of Gur, the Admo"r of Chortkov, Rabbi Meir Shapiro and others.

Important and interesting booklet.
