A. Avnei Chefetz Responsa (on the Shulchan Aruch) by Rabbi Aharon Levin, who died in the Holocaust.
The book was published at the end of World War II in the Feldafing camp in 1947. Facsimile edition.
At the beginning of the book, a special leaf with the biography of the author, Rabbi Aharon Levin (1880-1941), the son of Rabbi Natan Levin Av Beit Din of Reichshof. Rabbi Aharon replaced his father after his death and also served as chairman of the Rabbinical Council and a member of the culture committee of the House of Representatives.
The leaf recalls how the rabbi escaped Lvov at the beginning of the war and was caught by the Nazis. The many attempts to save him - which included the personal intervention of President Roosevelt and his appointment as the Chief Rabbi of Argentine - failed and he was murdered in a wood near Lvov.
