An important and basic book which explains introductions to the wisdom of the Kabbalah. Only re-printed in recent years.

The author, in his great humility, hid himself and did not write his name! The work is usually attributed to Rabbi Eliyahu Mani the Rabbi of Hebron (according to Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger, "Beit Yosef Chadash", page 5). Rabbi Eliyahu Mani (1818-1899) was one of the Kabbalists of the "Beit El" Yeshiva in Jerusalem after his immigration in 1856 from Baghdad. The "Ben Ish Chai" considered Rabbi Eliyahu Mani to be his primary teacher of Kabbalah, and corresponded with him on topics of halacha and Kabbalah. In 1858 he moved to Hebron, and established the yeshivot. He served as the Rabbi of the city. He wrote some 140 books and works.
However, there are those who attribute this work to one of the disciples of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin. Since the author writes (for example on page 81 and in two other places) that his master and teacher is Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin, author of the book "Nefesh HaChaim". He also refers to the Sephardim in a way that Sephardim would not write.
