"To remind him of his diligence and his advantage over his peers", certificate of appreciation to the student Lev Shpier, by the committee "in charge of the education of Jewish boys in Amsterdam". Amsterdam, [1846].
[1] leaf, 9x16 cm. Printed certificate with filled-in personal details. Signed by the head of the committee Eliezer ben Meir Rosen and by its scribe Yoel ben Hirsch Mans.
The committee in charge of the education of Jewish boys was founded in Amsterdam in 1819 for the purpose of enabling the poor children of Amsterdam to get an education.
