Sefer Kos HaYeshu'os on Seder Nezikin, which is the first section of Chidushei Maharshashach on these seven tractates: Shalosh Bavos, Sanhedrin, Makos, Shvu'os, Avodah Zarah. Introduced by Pipul at the great Beis Midrash of Frankfurt am Main Johan Kelner Press, Frankfurt am Main, [1711]. First edition. 


[2], 159 leaves, 31 cm. owner's stamp "Avraham Marx" and stamps of the Beis Midrash (the Kloiz) of Yechiel Wallich in Hamburg. A bookplate from the library of "Daniel Salomon Wallich Klaus". 


Rabbi Shmuel ben Rabbi Yosef Josefow Hacohen Schotten, Maharshashach (1644-1719), the great grandfather of Maran the Chassam Sofer, one of the greatest rabbis of Ashkenaz in his generation, Rav and head of the great Beis Midrash (the Kloiz) of Frankfurt am Main and the Rav of the Duchy of Hesse-Darmstadt. Author of Sefer Kos Hayeshu'os on Seder Nezikin. His editings on tractates Nedarim, Nazir and Bava Batra were printed in the Frankfurt edition of the Shas (1720-1722). His innovations on additional tractates were not printed. 


Rabbi Daniel [Yechiel ben Rabbi] Shlomo Wallich, a Talmid Chacham, leader of the community and philanthropist who established the Beis Midrash "Yechiel Wallich Kloiz" in Hamburg and headed it. His father rabbi Shlomo Zalman Wallich was a businessman and philanthropist, one of the leaders of the Hamburg community, a close disciple of Rabbi Yonoson Eybeschütz who stood by his side during the battle against him. passed away in 1789 and bequeathed one of his two houses to the Kloiz.
