A fascinating document by the committee for writing a Sefer Torah in memory of Rabbeinu the Tzaddik Gaon Maran Yisroel meir hacohen author of the 'Chofetz Chaim', by means of Va'ad haYeshivas in Vilna, with a commitment to purchase a letter by Maran the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook, the Rav and founder of the Chief Rabbinate and the first Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisroel.
Rabbi Kook purchased the word indicating his holy name 'Avraham' in Parashas Bechukotai, in the verse 'וזכרתי את בריתי יעקב ואף את בריתי יצחק ואף את בריתי אברהם אזכור'. Possibly, there are deep Kavanos in Rabbi Kook's choice of the word, the word 'Avraham' appearing in the midst of Parashas HaKelalos of Parashas Bechukotai, turning the curses into blessings, sanctifying the secular and uplifting the low.
The letter also refers to the important philanthropists the Gaon Rabbi Reuven Miletzki author of the Sefer Shemiras Chayei Nefesh and the ladies Mrs. Zvia Finkelstein, who immigrated from New York to Jerusalem, and Rachel Leah Spukoini, both of renowned and important families of Jerusalem.
