The Complete Encyclopedia of Illustrations - Big and thick book, filled mainly with thousands of black and white prints of old and antique etchings of varying types and on various subjects throughout history (Botany, Science, Weaponry, History, the Bible etc.), each section of prints is preceded by a number of informatory pages regarding the prints and their origins. The book is a new and extended edition of the book publ. in 1851, the new edition was publ. by Park Line New York in 1979, edited by J.G. Heck. Hardcover with dust jacket (jacket worn at the edges, torn at the corners and edges), inside in overall good condition, stained at the page edges mostly on the exterior right side. 24x30 cm, 573 pgs.
