In 1985, following high inflation, it was decided to replace the shekel with the new shekel.
Every 1,000 Sekels have become one new shekel to facilitate transactions in the economy.
Observe - the portrait of Yitzhak Ben Zvi, and to his right, in nine lines (readable with magnifying glass) -
