Avital is a Bezalel graduate in animation and digital media

Upon graduation she worked as a product designer and illustrator. She is currently engaged in painting.

"I paint with oil paints, the choice is conscious - with them my work technique comes out best, the layers as in nature are formed slowly. This is how I connect to the work a layer of soil, rocks, plants and lines that like a thread at the end of the work binds it together and makes it strong and intriguing.

Before painting I take pictures, during a trip, when there is an internal need and especially when the seasons change and the soil changes along with them. Usually I will paint the season I am in and the choice comes from the photography, sometimes I will take from the photography only the feeling or color and sometimes the photography will become a painting.

Nature has always fascinated me, the need to draw it stronger than me. Look into the undergrowth, the flower, the soil and bring my translation. Sometimes it feels like a conversation with the creation that directs me to colors, lines, spots. It is enlightening and I need to convey it to the observer, to intrigue and to see in a new way what is around us "
