In my work, and as an art therapist, I deal with the complicated and sensitive relationship between me and my surrounding.

The present day conflicts of being a multi-functional woman, as a daughter, a wife, a mother and so on, are represented through images of symbolic human figures and other different motifs. The leaf and its transformations as stages of the mind, the rose and the cycle of seasons as changes in life, the birth as process and commencements, with its crises and its ups and downs, physically, mentally, emotionally and philosophically. And the strings, the tangle which complicates it all.

All these motifs reflect human relations with its endless variations, sometimes impossible, stuck, and confusing, sometimes harmonious, happy and rewarding. All of it shows the individual complicated interaction with its inner-self and its splits and with the others.

By strong brush movements and various techniques, using expressive colors and by minimal forms or sculpting materials , I try to create the journey of life and the struggles for balance between being like others yet different , searching for identity while trying to belong yet be independent. My work is the very beginning of a long way in the macro -cosmos and the micro-cosmos.

The colors, the shapes, the words, it all reflects me.
