Letter of gratitude for supporting Torah and Chassidus handwritten by Maran the Nesivos Sholom of Slonim. Jerusalem, 1978.
In the letter the holy Admor expresses his gratitutde to the Jerusalemite activist Rabbi Menachem Porush for an amount of a thousand Lirot which he gave him to give to charity as he sees fit. He ends the letter with warm blessings. The letter appears on the official stationery of the Beus Avraham Yeshiva. The envelope is enclosed.
Maran the holy Admor Rabbi Sholom Noach Berezovsky author of Nesivos Sholom of Slonim (1911-2000). One of the most important Admorim in our generation and one of the greatest leaders of the Haredi community, one of the leaders of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and a member of the presidency of Va'ad HaYeshivas. An educator and expert pedagog who prevented many from sin. Established the 'Beis Avraham' yeshiva, seeing it as the way to keep the Lachovitz and Kobrin dynasties alive and thus established and developed the holy Slonim Chatzer in Jerusalem . He was the Rosh Yeshiva for approx. forty years until he was appointed Admor.
