Letter of blessings for the New Year by the Jerusalemite Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Chaim Brim while he was in the Diaspora. Spring Valley, 1974.
In the letter, the Jerusalemite Gaon warmly blesses the activist Rabbi Menachem Porush for the New Year: "May Hashem Yisborach make that we merit to tell each other only good tidings..."
The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Chaim Brim (1922-2002) one of the greatest Geonim and Tzaddikim of Jerusalem. A leading Boian and Ruzhin Chassid. In his youth, he became close to the greatest rabbis of Jerusalem the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank. Later he was introduced to Maran the Gaon author of Chazon Ish and his Torah and became one of his leading disciples. Together with a group of other disciples from Jerusalem, he used to travel to Bnei Berak to study all parts of the holy Torah with him. He taught Torah and headed the Skvyra yeshiva in the USA and other imporatnt places. In his last years, he became renowned as a holy Gaon, a miracle-worker whom many were attracted to his light and pleasantness of his Torah.
