Manuscript, Passover Haggadah – Yemen, 18th/19th Century – Stamps of Rabbi Shalom son of Aharon HaKohen Iraqi
Manuscript, Aggadta DePischa, with commentaries and laws by the Maharitz – R. Yichye Tzalach. [Sanaa? 18th/19th century].
Neat script, in the style of the Sanaa siddurim of the 18th century (similar to manuscripts produced by the Maharitz, leading Yemenite rabbi in those times). Text of the Haggadah with sublinear vocalization. Lacking one leaf of the laws of the Maharitz, from the middle of the laws and customs written between Kiddush and Karpas (see enclosed material).
Early stamps (faded) of "Shalom son of Aharon HaKohen Iraqi" (name of the president of the Sanaa community in the 18th century, [b. 1685, d. 1780. See: Encyclopedia LeChachmei Teiman, pp. 471-472]. This stamp may be his or that of one of his descendants).
[19] leaves. 16.5 cm. Fair condition. Many stains and wear. All leaves detached. Without binding.
