Zohar Al HaTorah, on the book of Bereishit. Leghorn, 1791. First edition with the glosses of the Chida. Many handwritten glosses.
Specifications: [8] 251, 19 leaves, 24 cm.
Background: Edition arranged and edited by the Chida when he lived in Leghorn, with an introduction conclusion and many glosses by him. At the beginning of the book the Chida wrote an introduction in which he writes that he added glosses to the book, and signs his name Me'ein (from the young one Yosef Azulai).
Unique Features: Early ownership signatures and handwritten kabbalistic glosses. Some of the glosses are signed AMBY"A ZLH"H? Additional ownership signatures: the young one Yitzchak son of Mikai ... the young one Chaim son of Mordechai.
Condition: Fine. Aging stains. Old binding.
