Unique Features: The stamp of the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Landau is on the book's title page. An ownership inscription from him is on the leaf before the title page. Further down the leaf is the signature of his son Rabbi Mordechai Yosef of Lodz, and it is possible that Rabbi Yaakov himself signed on the leaf before the title page. Background: The Admor Rabbi Yaakov Landau [1834-1956] son of the Admor Rabbi Avraham of Chechnov was one of the foremost members of the group of chassidim in Kotzk and afterward studied from the author of the Chiddushei HaRim. He assisted his father in the rabbinate of Chechnov, and after his father's death he accepted the authority of his brother Rabbi Zev Wolf of Strikov. After his brother's death, he was one of his primary successors as Admor, he settled in Yaazov, which is adjacent to Lodz, and became known by its name.
