Letter on official letterhead, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yehiel Mordechai Gordon. From Kislev 1952, addressed to Rabbi Meir Kohen of Brooklyn, administrator of Agudas HaRabbanim of the United States. On the subject of worries about the funding of religious education for children in Israel “imagine for yourselves that 2/3 of children receive secular education in Israel and maybe the cost for that is less…”. He explores the possible ways for putting the money to use to save future children from future problems. Content written on two sides of the page, size 21.5x28cm. Folding creases, light stains, overall good condition.
Rabbi Yehiel Mordechai Gordon (1883-1965) was the son of Rabbi Moshe Aharon. He was a leader of the Lomza yeshiva in London and founder and leader of the yeshiva in Petah Tikva.
