At the head of the manuscript: "with the help and in the name of 'Ya'akov' … first part of the book Kol Ya'akov".
At the beginning of the manuscript a title: "Ma'amr Kol Ha'Shofar Le'Rosh Ha'Shana". The essay includes four long Drashot on Halacha and Aggada related to Roah Ha'Shana. Each of these Drashot is divided into sub-sections.
The manuscript also contains novellae on the Rosh Ha'Shana Tractate, which are actually Drashot on the Sugiyot of the tractate. This part is titles "Kol Ha'Shone Halachot".
The Drashot demonstrate thorough understanding and wide knowledge of the Sages, Rishonim and Achronim. The language is clear and sharp.
The book has never been printed or listed anywhere.
To the manuscript are added handwritten pages by the author with various Drashot he had written and a printed page of a Kashrut certificate he had given, with his original stamp.
Rabbi Ya'akov Meshulam Ginzburg, Av Beit Din of the Yere'im community of Bucharest (the orthodox community), was a great Torah genius. At first, he was the rabbi of Norhomara, Bucovina and later moved to serve as a rabbi in Bucharest. When he was the rabbi of Norhomara he published in interesting booklet on "Sefer Abudirham" with important glosses on the Sugiyot and Psakim of Kri'at Shema. After the Holocaust he immigrated to Israel and served as the oldest rabbi of the Harry Fischel Institute and the editing of Halacha Psuka. His well-known book is "Mishpatei Ha'Torah".
A4-sized book in hardcover. 112 handwritten pages, two columns on each page. Many lines on each page.
Very well-preserved, beautiful manuscript.
