The dedication of Rabbi Chaim HaCohen Av Beit Din of Tripoli on his book 'Na'avah Kodesh.'
The book Na'avah Kodesh includes two commentaries on Shir HaShirim, Turei Zahav by Rabbi Tzemach Tzarfati, and Nekudot Kesef by his grandson, Rabbi Chaim HaCohen Tripoli. Livorno, 1872.
Last two pages are missing.
At the beginning of the book is a long and interesting introduction in which the comments are designated for the megillah of Shir HaShirim and the Aramaic translation of Rabbi Chaim HaCohen of Tripoli. Rabbi Chaim HaCohen was born in Djerba, moved to Tripoli where he was appointed as dayan and av"d. He died in 1905. He authored many works, amongst them Lev Shome'a on the principles of the Talmud; Mitzvot HaMelech on the azharot; Mikra Bikkurim; Alon Bachot; Torat Chaim on the commentary of Rabbeinu Bachye; responsa Dvar Mishpat, and more.
On the page before the title page is a long dedication in the author's handwriting and with his signature.
Simple cover dismantled. A number of pages are detached. The book's leaves are in fine condition.
