Q inglong mark , antique, Chinese antler seal and hard stone (agate)
an outstanding, antique, Chinese antler seal with 2 signed etched paintings and a miniature 1000 characters on the other side, displayed in a fine rock crystal box.
This exquisite and extremely fine item is a rare of Chinese art and craftsmanship, where size is the issue .
The antler or bone seal is depicting on one side a scholar and a boy with a tea kettle under a willow tree by the river with mountains, waterfall , trees and birds in the background. A small poem on the left hand side. The top part depicting 2 scholars standing on a bridge on the river between a gorge with mountains, willow trees and waterfall, small poem on right hand side. Other side depicting an outstanding 1000 miniature characters. The crystal box hand carved with a top inscription, relating it to the Qianlong emperor (18th cent.) .
The bottom part of the box has a Qianlong reign mark carved.
