Historical Letter from Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski to Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Herzog - Observance of Religion in the would-be State of Israel. 1938

An important, interseting letter with the handwriting of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski to his friend Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Herzog. Tevet 1938.

Rabbi Grodzinski writes to Rabbi Herzog, who eventually served as the first Chief Rabbi of Israel, that "God-fearing people should ensure the promotion of religious matters" in the would-be Hebrew State.

It is surprising that ten years prior to the establishment of the State, leading Rabbis looked forward and were concerned with the spiritual image of the State that was to be establihsed after two thousand years of exile.

The letter is written on the official stationery of Rabbi Grodzinski, in the handwriting of his secretary. Rabbi Grodzinski added one line in his handwriting and his signature.

Condition: Very Good. Folding Marks.
