Eulogy for "the extraordinary Torah scholar, who had special mental powers … who taught other Torah and piety and would outdo himself from year to year and continue the tradition of his teacher, our great rabbi". The name of the deceased student is not mentioned.
Rabbi Aharon Cohen (1904-1961) was the head of Hebron Yeshiva. He was famous for his ethical personality and his charity. When he was fifteen, he studied at "Knesset Yisrael" Yeshiva in Slabodka. He used to say that the little time he spent with the Alter of Slabodka constituted the basis for his development in Torah and piety. He was among the Yeshiva students who immigrated to Israel and founded the yeshiva in Hebron. He became the son-in-law of the head of Yeshiva, Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein. His Talmudical novellae were published in the 'Beit Aharon' series of books.
