Hatham Sofer: Silver coin: 250 years since the birth of Rabbi Moshe Sofer. The National Bank of Slovakia. A one-of-a-kind silver coin, issued in a limited series by the National Bank of Slovakia, In 2012, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Rabbi Moshe Sofer - 'HaHatam Sofer' Zatzukal. The coin was designed by a Slovak master engraver named Pavel Karolyi. The inspiration for the design of the coin was taken from an oil painting by the painter Rabbi Issachar Ber Frank Halevi. The coin, which is worth a total of ten euros, was designed by a Slovak master engraver named Pavel Karolyi. Pavel drew the inspiration for the design of the coin from a well-known portrait of the signator Sofer, drawn and printed by his student R. Issachar Ber Frank Halevi (about 1828). On one side of the coin, the image of the underwriter is seen inside a triangle in the center of the coin, with a lamp spread out below. On the other side of the coin, a relief from a painting of the city of Bratislava in the life of the 'Hatam Sofer'.
