3 Double-Sided Hindi Framed Documents w/ Artwork
Group of three Hindu Indian illuminated manuscript pages. One side painted with an erotic or romantic scene and the other with script.
Provenance: From the Estate of Horst Rechelbacher, Osceola, Wisconsin.
Horst Rechelbacher, the founder of Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients, was a pioneer in the field of safe and eco-friendly cosmetics. The same curiosity that led him to explore ways to improve the beauty industry led him to travel the world, collecting rare and beautiful objects as he went.
Each; sight: 9 in x width: 5 in. Framed; height: 16 in x width: 12 in.
Condition: The items are in good condition with no major tears, creases, or losses. The sheets are toned. The item, captured upper left in the lot listing, has a tear to the lower left quadrant, measuring 3/4 inch, and has another minute tear to the upper right quadrant; in addition, it has an undulation to the right upper side of the item. The item, upper right, has a tear to the upper right quadrant, measuring 1/4 inch. From the script side, all items have scattered areas of black paint marks, possibly original. No visible sign of restoration under UV light. All items are framed under plexiglass. Not inspected out of frame. Wear to the frame. Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
